931 Walfred Road

City of Langford

The property at 931 Walfred Road, in the City of Langford, was subdivided into a 45 lot, residential development. The subdivision is located on Triangle Mountain’s north face, at the southern end of Jacklin road, and will become the main access to the future development of the western half of the mountain.

Westbrook Consulting was engaged to provide civil engineering design for site servicing and road works for the development. Westbrook also performed a topographic survey of the site for the purposes of preparing the site servicing drawings and has been inspecting the civil works throughout construction.

The project involved the consolidation of four large lots and significant grading and removal of approximately 60,000 cubic meters of rock, under the supervision of the project’s geotechnical engineer. During the design phase of this project, the Local Area Plan for the future configuration of Walfred Road was in flux with the City. Westbrook overcame this challenge by coordinating closely with the City for the design of several alignment options in order to achieve the ultimate vertical and horizontal alignment of the road.

The anticipated completion date of the project is Spring of 2018.
