BCAA

Municipality: City of Victoria
Key Personnel:

Kyle Stubbs, Ben Badke

The Opportunity

BCAA constructed a new auto repair facility at the site of the former Andrew Sheret Ltd. building at 712 Bay Street in the City of Victoria.

The Approach

Westbrook provided detailed design, construction inspection and survey layout services for new access to the site, as well as new fire and domestic water service connections, and sanitary sewer and storm drain services.  Westbrook was also involved in the coordination of the utilities, BC Hydro, Telus, Shaw Cable, and Fortis BC, with the electrical consultant and design team.

An aspect of the project that created a challenge was the lack of recent record information in the project area. The available record drawings of underground information were dated and required careful navigation to ensure the success of the project.  The City of Victoria was very accommodating in assisting with any inconsistencies found in the record drawings and provided necessary information as required.

The Result

The project received its occupancy permit in the spring of 2018.

At Westbrook, we pride ourselves on delivering quality service that provides peace of mind for our clients…
