The Opportunity

A new P & R Truck Centre was constructed on Millstream Road in the City of Langford. The P & R Truck Centre includes a sale center and a maintenance facility.

The Approach

A new P & R Truck Centre was constructed on Millstream Road in the City of Langford. The P & R Truck Centre includes a sale center and a maintenance facility.

The site is bordered by Millstream Road and Millstream Creek. 

Westbrook Consulting was the civil engineer for the project and was engaged to prepare a site grading and storm water treatment plan. Westbrook Consulting worked with the architect and civil contractor to ensure that the City of Langford and CRD requirements were met for discharging waste to the storm and sanitary systems. Westbrook also worked with the building owner to apply for the required storm water discharge permits.

As part of the project, the necessity to facilitate the movement of large vehicles with respect to the facility and the existing natural boundaries arose. Grading was carefully designed to accommodate the large vehicle movements.

The project was completed in 2016.
